This is an opportunity to go inside the research behind the visionaries of The Others. In this six-session live seminar (Tuesdays Oct. 6- Nov. 17, 6-7:30 pm EDT) D. W. Pasulka takes you behind the book to explore the extraordinary visionaries, ideas, traditions, and encounters that shaped it. Together, we will go deeper into the work of figures who anticipated a world transformed by artificial intelligence, advanced technology, new forms of belief, and encounters with realities that challenge our understanding of what it means to be human.
In this sessions, we will examine the visionaries in their own words, explore the surprising connections among them, and ask what their ideas might tell us about the extraordinary period we are living through now.
Each session will combine teaching, selected readings, and live discussion with D. W. Pasulka. Whether you have already read The Others or are encountering these ideas for the first time, the seminar is designed to take you beyond the book and into the deeper intellectual and spiritual world from which it emerged.
Sessions will be recorded for those unable to make the live sessions.

D. W. Pasulka is a professor of religious studies and the author of American Cosmic, Encounters, and the New York Times bestseller The Others. Her research explores religion, technology, extraordinary experience, and the ways human beings make sense of encounters with the unknown. Her work has brought her into conversation with scientists, technologists, religious practitioners, and experiencers around the world, and she has become a leading scholarly voice on the intersection of religion, emerging technology, and contemporary belief.
